Inspired by his home in Oxfordshire, England, this collection of blankets designed by John Pawson for Tekla are all Jacquard woven from the finest quality merino wool and finished with eyelash endings.

Made in Europe from superfine merino, sourced in Australia and South America. Merino sheep wool is the highest quality sheep's wool with soft, soft hair and firm texture. The special merino wool comes exclusively from selected merino sheep breeds. Merino wool is super elastic, stretching up to almost 30% from its original form. Because of this, it is extremely durable.
The Tekla wool blankets are created for years of wear, especially if you take good care of them along the way. By the nature of the fabric, wool is stain, odor and wrinkle-resistant and thus requires little maintenance. Hang the blankets outside now and then, to straighten and air out for a refreshing feel.
All Tekla wool products are woven by highly skilled craftsmen, and the entire production runs solely on renewable energy, leaving as little environmental impact as possible.

John Pawson CBE has spent over thirty years making rigorously simple architecture that speaks of the fundamentals but is also modest in character. His body of work spans a broad range of scales and typologies, from private houses, sacred commissions, galleries, museums, hotels, ballet sets, yacht interiors and a bridge across a lake.
As Alvar Aalto’s bronze door handle has been characterised as the ‘handshake of a building’, so a sense of engaging with the essence of a philosophy of space through everything the eye sees or the hand touches is a defining aspect of Pawson’s work. His method is to approach buildings and design commissions in precisely the same manner, on the basis that ‘it’s all architecture’.
Whether at the scale of a monastery, a house, a saucepan or a ballet, everything is traceable back to a consistent set of preoccupations with mass, volume, surface, proportion, junction, geometry, repetition, light and ritual. In this way, even something as modest as a fork can become a vehicle for much broader ideas about how we live and what we value.

Tekla Fabrics is a homeware design studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark with a collection of home textiles carefully curated for the modern home.
Functionality
They want to bring a high level of design into our modern lives. The bedding looks and feels great without ironing – they are meant to be machine washed and hung dry. The duvet covers ties to the duvets so the silhouette stays crisp.
Their towels were developed to be extra absorbent and also maintain their fluffy texture after machine washing. And the bathrobes, inspired by Scandinavian bathing culture, have deep pockets and extra large hoods.
Sustainability
Tekla strives to make the least impact possible on our environment. Their cotton products are made from organic cotton and all products are eco-tex marked which means they are free of harmful chemicals. The entire range is designed at their studio in Copenhagen and produced in Europe.
