Reversible Beach Towels — Octopus
Located in the hills of Braga and Guimaraes in Portugal, Tekla's terry collection is produced by one of Europe's finest manufacturers within its field.
The beach towels are jacquard woven in 550g terry, reversing the designed patterns from front to back. The thick towels are super absorbent and soft in feel. And by measuring 100x165 cm, they provide a great cover if bathing in winter or the ultimate beach blanket when enjoying the summer sun.
The production is Oeko-tex certified to be free of harmful chemicals, meaning that all Tekla products only have a healthy impact on the body. Furthermore, the manufacturer is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS. Besides ensuring a high quality of the fabrics, the GOTS certificate also requires a high standard of craftsmanship and continuous production control.
When using terry products every day, it is important that they be cared for so they continue to be soft and easy on the skin as well as highly absorbent for practical use. Inspired from ancestors advise, Tekla recommends to soak the new terry in cold water for 24 hours before the first wash. This to best ensure the best possible absorbency and strength of the terry.

Why Is It Important To Use Recycled Cotton?
Cotton is harvested from cotton plants and processed into cotton yarn or fabric. Recycled cotton fabrics, manufactured with cotton recycled and waste fabrics, reduce our use of virgin cotton and thereby the significant water, carbon footprint and other impacts from cotton farming.
Cotton recycling prevents unneeded wastage and is a more sustainable alternative to disposal. Recycled cotton usually comes from second hand textile or waste and leftovers which gets spun into new yarn, and later on fabrics.
How Does It Work?
During the recycling process, the cotton waste is sorted and then processed through stripping machines that break the yarns and fabric into smaller pieces before pulling them apart into cotton fiber. The mix is created multiple times in order to clean and mix the fibers to sustain the comfort and softness of the cotton.
Recycling cotton cuts down on the demanding process of creating brand new cotton products, it’s a natural fiber and is biodegradable, so any leftover fibers that can’t be recycled or used further can be composted and will not take up space in landfills.
Wash at low temperatures to protect the environment.
Tumble dry on low heat with dryer balls.
Use natural detergent for long lasting great feel.
If a loop snags, please cut it, don’t pull it.
Don't use softener and bleach.
