Production

Located in the hills of Braga and Guimaraes in Portugal, Tekla's terry collection is produced by one of Europe's finest manufacturers within its field.

The production is Oeko-tex certified to be free of harmful chemicals, meaning that all Tekla products only have a healthy impact on the body. Furthermore, the manufacturer is certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard, GOTS. Besides ensuring a high quality of the fabrics, the GOTS certificate also requires a high standard of craftsmanship and continuous production control.

Care Instructions

When using terry products every day, it is important that they be properly cared for so they continue to be soft and easy on the skin as well as highly absorbent. Inspired from ancestors advise, Tekla recommends to soak the new terry in cold water for 24 hours before the first wash to ensure the best possible absorbency and strength of the terry.

Wash at low temperatures to protect the environment.
Tumble dry on low heat with dryer balls.
Use natural detergent for long lasting great feel.
If a loop snags, please cut it, don’t pull it.
Don't use softener or bleach.

Copenhagen, Denmark

Tekla Fabrics is a homeware design studio based in Copenhagen, Denmark with a collection of home textiles carefully curated for the modern home.

Functionality

They want to bring a high level of design into our modern lives. The bedding looks and feels great without ironing – they are meant to be machine washed and hung dry. The duvet covers ties to the duvets so the silhouette stays crisp.

Their towels were developed to be extra absorbent and also maintain their fluffy texture after machine washing. And the bathrobes, inspired by Scandinavian bathing culture, have deep pockets and extra large hoods.

Sustainability

Tekla strives to make the least impact possible on our environment. Their cotton products are made from organic cotton and all products are eco-tex marked which means they are free of harmful chemicals. The entire range is designed at their studio in Copenhagen and produced in Europe.
